Mixed Berry Smoothie

So, I’m going to share yet another breakfast smoothie.  Forgive me, but I’m sort of obsessed.  I do this thing where I really love something and overload on it, then get sick of it.  Do you do that?  I do it with new songs way too often.  Also with foods, especially of the breakfast variety.
I have yet to get sick of smoothies, so here I am again…

you will need:
1 cup frozen mixed berries
½ cup plain greek yogurt
¼ milk, plus a little extra
1 tablespoon ground flax seed* (optional)

Toss all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. If necessary, drizzle in a bit more milk to reach desired consistency.

*I like to toss in flax seed because it’s a good source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acid.  Also, you can’t even taste it in the smoothie, so that’s a bonus.

In a variation of this flavor, I tossed in a frozen banana which is yummy, too.  Check out my other favorite breakfast smoothie flavors here and here.

serves: 1
time: 5 minutes
