Naked Lamb Burgers

I love lamb burgers as a more healthy alternative to a big, greasy hamburger.  Lamb is lighter, and perfect for a summer meal.  It comes together quickly, making it a great option for a busy weeknight meal.  Also, I call these naked burgers because I don’t use buns!  But you could totally use a bun if that’s more your speed…just slather it with some yummy sauce or something.

you will need:
1 lb. ground lamb
½ small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon corriander
large handful fresh parsley, chopped
small handful fresh oregano, chopped
salt & pepper

Heat grill to medium-high.  In a medium bowl, mix the lamb, onion garlic, spices, herbs, salt and pepper until well combined.  Form into 4 patties.  Grill about 4 minutes per side for medium.

Serve with some tzatziki, grilled pitas and a greek salad for a light summer meal!
