{Where to Shop Wednesday} Paradise Gardens & Farm Fresh Feta

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a where-to-shop post…so today I’ll share a really yummy one.

I might love cheese as much as I love cake.  And just as with cake, I love all kinds of cheese, though a few stand out as my favorites.  Feta and chevre cheeses are at the top of my list.  Feta is great because it’s one of the healthiest cheese options, so I always have some in my fridge.  While I’ve been known to just buy the prepackaged stuff at the local grocery, there is a world of a difference in the real, fresh stuff.

Paradise Gardens & Farm is an organic farm in Jefferson County run by Stephen Cleghorn.  They offer a variety of goat cheeses, yogurts and milk, as well as ground meat.  You can visit the farm or find the products at a variety of markets in the Pittsburgh area.  Check out the locations on their website.

I found them originally through Farmers at the Firehouse and just recently found out that the East End Food Coop carries these cheeses.  I squealed with delight when I saw it…that got a couple funny looks.

I used the feta in a wheat berry salad I made recently, and it was delish.  I highly recommend including their products in a meal soon, you’ll be thrilled with the result!
