{Where to Shop Wednesday} Stan’s Market

I love The Strip…it’s hands-down my favorite place in Pittsburgh.  You can eat well, drink well, shop, leisurely walk around on a lovely spring day (oh, wait, where did those go?).  It’s just everything I love to do in one concentrated area.  My sister-in-law lives there, so if I needed any more of an excuse to go…there it is.

I have a sneaky suspicion that I will be sharing all of my favorite Strip District spots over the coming months, as my spring and summer weekends will be filled with trips there.

So, Stan’s Market can be found at 1811 Penn Avenue, right near Rolands.  Great place to stop to find some fresh fruits and veggies as great prices.  Like these artichokes:
Look at those beauties…and $1 a piece!  I squealed when I saw them…if you know me, you know what I’m talking about… So needless to say I bought some, and tonight I am making these.  Drooling already.

Lauren and I also devoured one of these amazing peeps lattes at Fortunes Coffee Roastery.
Despite the fact that I broke my Lenten promise of no coffee a few days early (on Good Friday, eek!), I did not regret a moment of inhaling this dreamy beverage.  In fact, I’m hoping they still have them this weekend…I.want.more.
